FIT® 421 is a tough,irradiated polyolefin with a 4:1 shrinkage ratio that solves the problem of covering and protecting the connections between cables and bulky connectors. Applications: Insulation and protection for connector-to-cable terminations; harmless jacket sleeving repair; coverage of irregular shapes not possible with 2:1 shrink ratio material. Specifications. Operating Temperature: -55°C to +135°C. Shrinkage Ratio: 4:1 at 121°C. Tensile Strength: 1500 psi. Longitudinal Shrinkage: 50% maximum. MIL-I-23053/5B Class 1 over expanded. AMS 3636D. Non-corrosive; self-extinguishing. Color: Black.
