308 Series Industrial Potentiometer, Conductive Plastic Element, PC Terminal, 0.5 W Power Rating
The 308 and 309 series potentiometers are high-performance, low-cost potentiometers. The 408 and 409 series are high performance potentiometers designed for wave soldering applications for mounting to PC boards. The 308 and 408 are 0.5 watt with conductive plastic element and the 309 and 409 are 1.0 watt with thick film cermet element. All feature a compact 1/2" miniature, modular size. They are cost effective with design simplicity through fewer component parts. Nickel-plated brass shaft and bushings in various diameters and lengths. Insert molded gold plated terminals for strength. The conductive element is precision made using screen printed conductive elements. The stability for the 308 and 408 series is -40° to +120°C. Both the 308 and 309 have solvent resistant housing, but are not immersion sealed. Both the 408 and 409 have O-ring shaft seal and the entire unit is sealed for wave solder and wash processing. 295° ±5° electrical rotation. 350 VDC across end terminals, but power not to exceed rating. N=non-locking 1/4" dia. × 1/4" long bushing with 1/8" dia. × 3/4" long (FMS) slotted shaft. L= locking 1/4" dia. × 3/8" long bushing with 1/8" dia. × 7/16" long (FMS) slotted shaft. NS = S.P.D.T. rotary switch. PPS = push-pull S.P.D.T. switch. 309 for 409 locking bushing available as special order. Also available as special order with S.P.S.T. or S.P.D.T. switches up to three multiple sections, log tapers and reverse log tapers. 408 and 409 available with solder hook terminals as special order.
