SNAP motion control products provide a compact, easy-to-use method for multi-axis stepper motor control. A single SNAP-SCM-MCH16 motion control host communication module mounted on an I/O unit allows a SNAP PAC controller running a PAC Control programming strategy to control up to 16-stepper motors — or axes of control — through four SNAP-SCM-BB4 motion control breakout boards, which each support four stepper motors.

Integrated SNAP PAC hardware and PAC Project software simplify the task of creating and operating your control system. PAC Control programming software has an easy-to-use, flowchart-based development environment for creating control programs. PAC Display Human Machine Interface (HMI) software is closely tied to PAC Control, sharing its tag database for easy development of operator interfaces. Serving OPC information to OPC 2.0 clients is equally straightforward; OptoOPCServer software also takes advantage of the shared tag database to simplify setting up an OPC database.
