Overvoltage Protection for 24 V Power Supplies

AC Input: 100/120/220/240 VAC +10%, -13%. 47-63 Hz. Tolerance for 230 VAC operation is +15%, -10%. Derate output current 10% for 50 Hz operation.

Adjustment Range: ±5% minimum except HAD Series.
Line Regulation: ±0.05% for a 10% change.
Load Regulation: ±0.05% for a 50% load change.
Output Ripple: 3 mV + 0.05% of output voltage peak to peak maximum. All 3-terminal regulator outputs: 3 mV + 0.2% peak to peak maximum.
Transient Response: 50 microseconds for 50% load change.
Short Circuit and Overload Protection: Automatic current limit/foldback.
Overvoltage Protection: Built-in on 5 V models, set at 6.2 V ±0.4 V. Other models use optional overvoltage protection.
Remote Sensing: On all models except HA and HTAA; open sense lead protection built-in.
Stability: ±0.05% for 24 hours after warm up.
Temperature Rating: 0°C to 50°C, full rated, derated linearly to 40% at 70°C.
Temperature Coefficient: ±0.01%/°C maximum.
Efficiency: 5 V units — 45%; 12 V and 15 V units — 55%; 20 V and 24 V units — 60%.
Optional OVP modules are available to protect your load from an overvoltage condition. These modules are adjustable from 6.2 V to 34 VDC and mount directly on your power supply chassis. The OVP-12 is available for outputs which will not exceed 12 amps and the OVP-24 is for loads up to 30 amps. One OVP module protects both outputs on the dual output ±12 VDC and the ±15 VDC power supplies. Note that models with factory built OVP are indicated in the table above.
